FAQ

What should I wear?
Clothing similar to what you would wear to the gym would be ideal e.g. leggings, tracksuit, etc. However, shorts or a skort will be needed from about the second week as bare skin helps you get a better grip on the pole. If you’re feeling uneasy at the idea of unleashing your legs in public – don’t worry – everyone in the class feels the same way (including the instructors!!). Trainers can be worn for the warm up part of the class. Barefeet are usually used for the pole component of the class. However occasionally we will do some work in heels.

Is there anything I cannot wear?
For your own safety no jewellery should be worn. No oil, creams, body moisturisers, etc. No inappropriate clothing (g-strings, bra’s, etc.)

What happens in a Pole Fitness class?
Each class comprises a warm up section, strength building session, pole work session and a stretching session.

What sort of women attend our Pole Fitness classes?
Pretty much everyone! All shapes, sizes and ages.

What do I need to bring?
A small towel to wipe the pole, a bottle of water and a sense of humour!

How many are in a class?
The maximum class size is 18 which works out at 3 students per pole. However in reality we generally stick to 12 students per class. There will always be one instructor and at least one helper per class.

Very Important
Please make sure you are not using any oils, lotions, serums or moisturisers on your skin. These can make the pole slippy which can be dangerous.
